Glad to hear your cat is OK. I am helping to look after 4 kittens at present. Having been involved in anti-quarry protests for many years I can tell you that if you make enough fuss, have support of local people, have enough reason and carry on for long enough you can change anything. Never believe that your voice is not heard. Perhaps you could start a group to try to stop the quarrying or canvas local opinion on them. If the earth could speak (and many would argue that it is already screaming at us) it would be a distressing conversation. We stopped listening a thousand years ago. The earth continues screaming...
