The entire complex seems to exhibit several cardinal and solstice alignments. The Andesite Sun points north. From its center one can see the winter solstice sunrise through the center of the great circle sanctuary. Similarly, the sunrise during the summer solstice can be seen through the center of the small circle sanctuary.
