There is an amusing account of a journalist's trial holiday here in the Western Daily Press of 26th July 2005. I found it on the website: http://www.westpress.co.uk under "We're All off on an Iron Age Holiday (Forget Your Toothbrush and say Hello to Squalor)". It did sound as if he and his family enjoyed it in the end!
