Buxton Museum know nothing about the disc. I am not yet convinced it ever existed. It is so similar to the Nebra disc that it would be a very important find and I cannot imagine that it has not gone into a museum. It also contains gold so should have been reported as treasure trove (pre Portable Antiquities Scheme?). I'll move on to my next contacts to see what else I can find out...does anyone know anything?
