This is interesting. Of course Kendall showed the MY very probably existed back in 1974. I find a similar unit in some very strange places. Years ago I studied the Anazasi kivas (circular temples) of the US south wast and found many diameters and/or circumferences were in integer MY.
The unit over there was ~2.723 ft.
