An old thread i notice but we went to Stonehenge for the summer solstice this year (2013) and decided to pop into Avebury on our way home.We were in a small 2 berth campervan which easily fits into a carparking space but were turned away.We explained that we would only stay for an hour and the carpark was almost empty but we were still turned away.Seems nothing has changed.There were police cones around the roads at Stonehenge but the amount of cones along the roads leading to Avebury were beyond ridiculous.I could understand if they said no overnight camping and closed the carpark after a certain time but i don't agree with the total ban on all high sided vehicles.
Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
