Nettles are surprisingly nutritious. The young shoots picked in spring are especially tasty when cooked. I like to make an infusion, nettle tea, it's a real spring tonic. If you pick larger or older leaves, do make sure you boil them continuously for 10 minutes as otherwise they can cause kidney damage.
