Glad to see the correction about the February and November solstices. I had wasted many December days trying to catch the setting sun streaming into the cairn before I realised and was puzzled by the fact that the frost didn't clear on the cairn itself even on sunny December days!
Where can I read opinions about the original construction including the sandstone and whitestone hemispheres and seashells/quartz. The Internet seems to be lacking this sort of description.
