The double sunset Byron has filmed (and I suspect with Jeff Kent's involvement)is that seen from Leek Lowe, not the historically famous phenomenon originally recorded by Dr Plot in 1686 as being visible from St Edward's churchyard. I hope that he makes this point clear in his documentary. That being the case, Byron's double sunset can be seen any clear evening for several weeks in the summer months from Mount Road, Leek. The geometry is not the same as that from the church but you can 'engineer' a disappearance and reappearance by being at the right place at the right time. Big deal!
