According to Tratman Vol 2(3) Proceedings UBSS 1926 p277 it is a large flat stone formed of the local Limestone with water standing in an hollow on its upper surface - then he got bolder - saying - nearby lie a number of large stones (not all of) which may lie in a circle; he gave a position 51/22/46N - 02/41/30W which I have drawn on my old Pathfinder Map - it seems to be the same position he shows in his hand drawn map of the area also on p277
