Re: What *IS* happening to Silbury Hill? by Anonymous on Wednesday, 09 May 2001

Try:"No one will climb Silbury
Hill which, apart from being structurally vulnerable, is a SSSI.
If foot and mouth restrictions allow we aim to join hands around
the base of the hill around 2.30pm."

Not exactly 'encouraging'. If foot and mouth restrictions allow, will
you be yelling at tourists walking around the Hill? Or just
protesters? What is it about protesters that makes us more likely
to spread F&M? Is it just the idea of democratic involvement that
bothers you? Does your response to public involvement with the
care of ancient monuments represent EH's?
You're posting from an EH address.

However, I would suggest that you answer just one or two of the
questions that have been asked on this list, or refer them on
to people who can, and that you represent EH with a little more thought.
