I visited this site in Nov 2011 and the surrounding woodlands described above have completely gone; it was Forrestry Commission woodland and it has all been harvested. Instead the site has an unrestricted and quite spectacular view out over Lamlash Bay, Holy Isle and the Firth of Clyde, which is I am pretty sure how it must have been when the tomb was built here.
