La Hoguette Tumulus, Fontenay-le Marmion, Calvados, N 49.0965, W 00.3543 by gps
Visited Saturday, 23 April 2005. Access 5, Condition 1, Ambience 1.
Despite all records I could find stating that this large round tumulus with 8 passage graves is no longer there, the remains are quite easy to find within the village. It remains today as a green grassy area within a housing estate, surrounded by roads called something like Rue la Tumulus and Rue La Hoguette. There is a large diameter mound with a slight hollow in the middle, and remains of some form of signpost.
Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
