Bruce Chatwin's 'Songlines' about the Australian Aborigines was fascinating.
The ref to 'Moot' (interesting!) reminded me of 'The Moot' at Moot Lane in Downton, Wilts. It's worth a visit if you're in the area. (Stayed at self-catering Alison Cottage next to Moot Farm for Cuckoo Fair in 2010.)
