Re: Robin Hood's Tump by coldrum on Sunday, 30 October 2011

From Pastscape:

"'Robin Hood's Tump' a round mound, was excavated by
W J Varley and found to be constructed of sand and turf. No
burials were found but the material of the mound contained a dozen
worked flints. Two post holes and a pit in the northern margin
of the mound were attributed to an occupation of the site before
the mound was erected. "
