This seems to be the same 'amateur scientist' - Gordon T Holmes used to work at Bradford University (but not any more). He has a page here

He has published various booklets such as Merlin's Meteorite (see link above). Assuming this is the same Gordon T Holmes, he has also had 'A Memorable Encounter at Loch Ness'
