Re: Luttra 15:1 by DrewParsons on Tuesday, 11 October 2011

I have renamed this site from Luttra to Luttra 15:1 with the alternative name Luttra West as I am posting a site for the adjacent Luttra 16:1 (Luttra East) gånggrift concurrently. I have amended the names of all photos for the old Luttra site so that they attach to the Luttra 15:1 site page. I have also refined the GPD coordinates etc for this site and added the following additional information:There are two passage graves (gånggrift) next to each other here. This one is the western one which sits on a mound some 14 metres by 7 metres. The seven orthostats and capstone make an impressive scene. The chamber is 7 metres long and 2.5 metres wide and is orientated in a NNE to SSW direction. The capstone is 3 metres by 2 metres and balances spectacularly on the orthostats. To reach the site drive south on highway 46 from Falköping to Luttra. Here take the turning east towards Vartofta and the site is right by the north side of road just past Luttra church. Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
