I've just now seen this string and am stuck on the entry made regarding Hadrian's wall being a futile barrier to keep the marauding Picts out of Roman Britain. I understand it to be a political boundary which also served as a trading point between Picts and Romanised people, etc. I feel there was a bit more cooperation and civility among different people in Britain back then, than is realised. Is anyone familier with the "Dark Age" burials in Warwickshire?
