Visiting Stonehenge back in 1990 - by chance really, noticing the offical sign for a historical location when driving from the south and upwards "in the middle of England", I was very surpriced to see the road running trough the site.
It must be a reasonal task to get this road re-directed around and away from this great cultural monument.
Are there any such attempts?
