I didn't see any damage, bar the grass being flattened by the vehicles tyres, and yes, i'd agree, the people parking on the henge probably had no idea they were doing anything wrong.

Sad thing is there was alternative parking, if you check the pic posted below you'll see the compound in the background (where the pick up and van are parked) that could have comfortably accommodated the offending vehicles, i shall suggest this be used in future when i contact Buxton council tomorrow.
