There is great news about Dr. Knight and the department: He, along with archaeological students of UA, Cuban students through the Provincial Center of Cultural Patrimony of Cienfuegos, Cuba, and students from The University of Florida, will be conducting a dig at the archaeological site of Loma del Convento (which was an Arawak town in the 16th century). Considering the politico/religious climate here in the U.S., there still is a strong current of an intelligent, peaceful existance continueing!!! Details can be found at:
