I was born in this area in 1957 and now live in Australia since 1988 but travel back to see my family in Mangotsfield every 18 months or so. On my visits I aways visit the stones and enjoy the energies and carry out ceremony's to acknowledge pagan rituals. I remember many energy stones but only one circle of stone (as your picture) also odd stones scaterered in what appeared to be indescrimately placed around the same site but the feeling was that these were meaningful . Shortwood, east Mangotsfield, Pucklechurch and Westerliegh have always been energy spiritual, pagan, wiccan strongholds in past years. Enbrace the energy and you will have a better understanding of why this very old site was chosen.
