Re: Celebrating the Bull Ring henge: talks, displays and activities 30th July by Blingo_von_Trumpenstein on Monday, 30 May 2011

Yes - neglected for centuries. No longer. I visited yesterday to get photos for my Derbyshire Life (July) article. Some rubbish was present but that is now recycled. Sadly the bonfire/tip just outside the henge is notably larger. May need some help removing some bits as they are fairly large. I shall report it to the relevant authorities and see if my Poll Tax counts for anything (hasn't done since that riotous day). I spotted 5 people that had obviously come to see the henge. Hurrah ! It is becoming more respected every day. It is a very powerful place and just feels stronger and more welcoming every time I go. I truly feel connected to this half acre of grass. The open day will be superb. I hope to meet lots of people that actually care about our heritage.
