The only "Scott" I know of is Sir Walter Scott. The Scots (from the Roman name Scotti) were Irish invaders. They settled in Western Scotland (Dalriada) as well as in Westmorland, Wales and Cornwall. As previously indicated, the Celts were a mid European tribe from the Alps. Since 1707, the term "Celtic" has been misused for the indigenous peoples of Britain and Ireland - none were Celts. The Picts (Picti) were destroyed by the Scots as they moved eastwards. Kenneth mac Alpin finally destroyed them in 840 AD and Pictland became Scotland.
