Fine views to the south from here, it's well worth the scramble up the hill from the roadside.
From the roadside (B951), follow the fence that separates the woodland from the farmer's field, keeping on the left (woodland) side of the fence - and BEWARE the fence is electrified, it was live when I visited. You will find yourself walking between two fences which lead you to the stones; you have to cross one last fence but it is sagging and poses no problem.
When the farmer saw me he immediately came over to warn me of the electric fence; in the course of a very friendly chat he pointed out the locations of ancient settlements in a dip below Strone Hill, which loomed over our hilltop from the east.
I was surprised to find modern markings on one of the stones - see my photo.
