A daytime walk with an archaeologist taking in impressive quarries of medieval to recent date, early iron smelting, a prehistoric cairnfield, and the impressive but enigmatic carl Wark hillfort. Led by John Barnatt. The walk is about 5 miles and includes footpaths and off-path walking across rough ground. Bring packed lunch. Booking essential.

Location: Pay and Display Car Park just west of Upper Burbage Bridge. Next to minor road between Ringinglow on the outskirts of Sheffield and Hathersage
