there's only one stone there now, although there used to be a circle. in an article in the Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries Scotland in 1908, FR Coles wrote:
"The circle at Blelock (since renamed Pitsundry) consisted of a central upright monolith, at one time surrounded by a circle of erect stones, probably twelve in number, 40ft in diameter. The farmer had removed several of the circle of stones: some were buried near their former positions."
when the OS visited it in 1969, they wrote:
"A single stone, 1.6m high and having several cup marks on its SE face, stands at NO 0561 3444. There are no indications of a stone circle and the farmer has not encountered any large stones while ploughing."
Directions:
Come off the A9 at Bankfoot, onto the B867. Take the third road to the left, then on that road, take the third left again. Follow the road round out of Bankfoot. Pitsundry is the first farm on the left (about half a mile out of Bankfoot). Looking up the farm's drive from the road, the standing stone is about 100m to the right of the farm, at the field's edge.
