The missing fourth stone, which bears an unusual set of 4 symbols, was never part of the original group and it is not lost. In 1914 it was found at Newton of Lewesk and placed with the three stones at Logie Elphinstone. Subsequently it was moved to Kinellar House where it now stands beside the driveway (see Newton of Lewesk page http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=7124).
