Re: La Haye d'Ectot allée couverte by TheCaptain on Sunday, 17 January 2010

Recorded in 1833 "Annuaire du Département de la Manche, Volume 5", as being the smallest and most ruinous of the seven "galeries couverte" monuments known in La Manche departement.

It was to be found in the middle of a south sloping field, several hundred metres from the Barneville to Briquebec road, and near to an ancient spring, La Fontaine de la Taille. Oriented east to west, 35 feet long and three feet wide with 5 cover slabs, the western end was closed by a large slab.

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
