Re: Bronze Age Doctors sought help from the stars. by Anonymous on Tuesday, 02 November 2004

Very interesting post. I am researching into a theory on how Stone Circles acted as time markers for the passage of natural medicines. Each monument would have lined up in some way with a celstial event telling the people when the medicines would arrive, hence there relevance to healing. The monuments would have faced the rising sun as just before this time, i.e. dawn, stars and planets would be visible. The sun rising on the horizon would have also provided a reference point to make time measurements.
