I think if ernar goes back and takes another look he will find that the "long barrows are nothing more than Pillow Mounds which are the remains of the warrening that took place here for many years, the reason it is called Trowlesworthy Warren. There are a great number of these scattered around the Tor ,to the west near the Plym as well as the four situated naer the stone rows. There are also a large amount of Prehistoric enclosures and round houses in the area and an excelent Kist close to where the path from the warren house meets the leat which runs from Spanish Lake to the Clay Workings. This realy is a Megalithic Complex and well worth a visit by anyone.
