Re: Park Gate by Peter-in-the-Peak on Wednesday, 21 October 2009

Can anyone tell me why Park Gate Circle is called Park Gate Circle?

I am aware that there used to be a Park House near Danesmoor which is reached by following the natural lie of the land running South East and roughly parallel with the River Amber as it flows through Ashover. I understand that this dates froom Saxon times.
