The National Museum of the American Indian doesn't focus on prehistoric cultures and artifacts as much as it looks at living, modern cultures and the contact era. However, there are Hopewell items in their collection. The items that were on display when I was there were presented in the context of groupings of items with common usage.
The question may be, will the Smithsonian borrow Hopewell artifacts from other museums for temporary display? Maybe some of the Davis collection now at the British Museum. Some of these are shown in Room 26 and some of which have never been on display.
