The article implies that the Middle Stone Age - i.e. the Mesolithic period - was 70,000 years ago. At that time modern Homo Sapiens was hardly yet Out of Africa and the Mesolithic was still in the far future. It is also unclear why the breaking of a glued joint in a weapon should cause "massive haemorrhaging" in the prey.
