There is another possible 'goddess stone' at Moss Farm Road Circle on Arran (also known as Machrie Moor 10). In fact, there may be two. I posted pics of the circle yesterday, so they should come up soon.
The most striking one isn't very tall (unless part of it is buried?), but quite like a hooded person. I was there in June 2002 - quite a long time ago now - but remember that it seemed quite spookily human in appearance, especially because a concave area under the front of the 'hood', made it look faceless. It also had a circular mark on this inner side.
A feature that may fit in with Jack's theories about these stones was that it stood in the SW arc of the circle and faced towards NE, the area of midsummer solstice sunrise. In fact, there was a dip in the distant hills on the horizon at that point.
Another stone standing at the North arc of the circle was also 'shouldered', with a smooth rounded 'back' (inner facing) and with an intriguing wavy pattern on its NE facing (outer) side.
Another oblong pointed stone in the NE arc looked as if it had been carved with zig-zags, again on its NE facing (outer) side.
