'Roman' Bridge on River Wye:
Surely the team knew about the dangers of mud flats. How foolhardy there were - and what a lot of programme time was wasted here- instead of using the later safer methods of crossing the quicksand.

Then one of the team held a domestic camera whilst dangling over the mud - with no strap to the camera to stop it dropping possibly into the sands.

And why did team members have to shout back from the site up to the bank? Surely there were more modern means of communicating?

Why did they not use mechanised winding gear? Instead they all huffed and puffed as they dragged each other on the zip-line.

Why were Team Muscles(?) shirt logos fuzzed out?

Why did the film makers keep repeating film snippets - ie the seatboard breaking? More wasted film time.

It was stated that the posts had been in the river for centuries- no way of knowing how fragile or how well preserved they were. Well they'd 'been in the river for centuries'. Didn't this tell them?

They also said they had to take care not to damage the site - and then one of them set about hacking off a piece of the timber with a handsaw!

I deliberately didn't watch the programme on Sunday 27 June 2004. I don't think I'll be watching the rest either.

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
