Re: Tyn y Coed by PAB on Tuesday, 08 July 2008

Hi Donna - there seem to be 2 'Houses in the woods' - the one spelt Ty'n-y-Coed [SH818543] is the farm near the village of Capel Garmon where the burial chamber (also called Capel Garmon) is. The other one [SJ048397] is 17 miles SE (as the raven flies), and is called Tyn y Coed on the Portal.

I can easily see that someone living near Capel Garmon would relate to the adjacent farm and think of them as refering to the same site... now I will have to find the second one too - just for curiosity!

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
