This programme contained far too much personal theory without factual basis, for example, it is a great leap of the imagination to decide that discovering damaged swords, shields and helmets in the River Thames means that the weaponry was offered to the "water gods" who existed due to catastrophic flooding. Maybe the programme should have been entitled "Bettany's British History" ....... History, I love.... fantasy dressed up to be fact, is depressing. -- [email protected]
