The notion of a sky disc being attached to something is not new. At around the same time the Ancient Egyptians also had sky discs with holes round the endge so that they could be attached to the torso of the
praactitioner in the belief that the warmth of the body transmitted to the disc and therefore enabled the disc wearer to penetrate darkness without light. This was a common practice in the most secret parts of the temple.
