As at Gibbet Moor North a GPS is definitely recommended when visiting this site (and a copy of John Barnatt's Henges Stone Circles and Ringcairns of the Peak District with its excellent plans). The stones are all buried in the heather, even in the depths of winter but it is located quite close to the track leading to Hob Hurst's House, making it less hard going than Gibbet Moor North.

Recent surveys have suggested that it is perhaps a habitation site rather than a stone circle.
