Gee, Anonymous ---
Are you arguing that EVERYONE already knew this information, so this piece of popular science/history (NOVA is only scholarly when compared to nearly everything else on American television) served no purpose at all?
Are you arguing that the good honest Spaniards were the saviors of the peoples of South and Central America? And it was false of the program to cast them in any other light?
Are you arguing that it's "Imperialism" to tell a story that is apparently little known or unknown in common, popular history? Or is it "Imperialistic" to imply that someone doesn't know this story? (They insulted your intelligence by telling you something you already knew. I guess those of us not already so blessed should have remained ignorant...) Hyperbole for a TV program becomes "Imperialism"?
And would the Latin American pathologist have been more or less "white"? I'd imagine it's a matter of who is funding the dig and this show and less about an imperialistic slap in the face of Peruvian pathologists. Oh, but wait, you could tell already that it was a gunshot wound -- no need to go to any pathologist.
Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
