This is an interesting episode, featuring archaeological evidence of the earliest gunshot victim in the New World.
The rebellion in question is the "Siege of Lima". The Spanish described this as a huge 10,000 strong counter offenseive from the Inca, routed by 200 Spanards using a calvalry charge. Evidence (archaeological and historical) is presented to paint this version as a self-serving cover-up: the Spanish disguised their dependence on Indian allies (who dispised the Inca as an ethnic group) to enshrine their own bravery. (The Pizaro family seems to have supported the "Us against the savages" story in an attempt to line their pockets with the crown's treasury of stolen Inca gold.)
