Eating Out - 10,000 Years of Wilderness Survival!

We are heading outdoors and into the local landscape for a day of wilderness survival, with the help of a flint knapper, a leather worker and the local army!
Transport yourself back to Mesolithic times and discover how Man hunted for food, how he made weapons, what clothes he wore and equipment he used to survive. Then compare these skills with those employed by the British Army today. How different are we? There will be hands-on opportunities to try Stone Age survival techniques such as bowl turning, arrow shooting, cord making and dry scraping an animal skin, as well as modern ones too, such as camouflage, ration packs and outdoor bivvy's, all set in the naturally beautiful surroundings of Newlands Corner. Pre-booking necessary.
21 July 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4.30pm
Newlands corner (off A25 Shere Road) between Guildford and Dorking. 2 miles SE of Guildford Town
