The Horestone can be seen standing in a field to the southwest of the village of Lower Swell. When I visited on New Years day 2007, the field was fallow, so I was able to go in and look at the stone properly.

It's about 2 metres long. less than a metre in height and varies in thickness. Its a very interesting stone with all sorts of patterns and other bits of stone etc within it. Almost certainly once part of a burial chamber from within a longbarrow I would think.

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
