Thanks very much for the link to your site Ken. It's good to be able to follow these events, living the moment via your excellent photos. I believe the Winter Solstice dawn is usually sunny at Newgrange, isn't it? I tried to win sunrise access to the chamber with the Lottery a couple of times, but no luck. Had visited Newgrange in '99 and 2001. Did Knowth and Dowth in '01 too. Unfortunately neither chamber was open to public then. (I'm not even sure I should have been around the mound of Dowth that Sept. day!) Sadly my camera leaked light on that trip to Ireland, and ruined most of my precious pics. (My Lia Fail pic on the Portal is a prime example!)
