I do not agree with the opinion expressed in the Greek newspaper. The weight of the suit of armour, i.e. 15 kg, is substantially less than the weight of an armour from 1350 to 1600 AD, which was 20 to 25 kg. Moreover, the armour was designed in various separate parts which then were assembled and tied together on a leather lining. The result was a very flexible armour, at least much more than the medieval armour!. IMO it was purposely designed for heavy duty on the battlefield. I suppose the newspaperman is not a military historian...(a)
