Speaking with one of the EH Custodians on my recent visits to Stonehenge, he remarked that bits of bluestone have been found in many of the barrows of the area (I guess the round barrows instead of the long barrows due to their chronology with Stonehenge), in addition to the recent finds during the summer. Whatever it was about the Bluestones, they were valued indeed.
