Strawtown Koteewi "Prairie" Park.
The park itself is open dawn to dust, daily. The associated Taylor Center of Natural History is open on Friday and Saturdays 10am - 5pm, Sundays 1-5pm, with interpretive staff on hand.
From September 12-29 (Tues - Sat) 9am - 4pm, archaeologists from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne with be on site conducting excavations open to the public for viewing. Tours can be arranged for school, civic and family groups by calling Amanda Smith, Chief Naturalist, at 317-848-0576.
On Sept. 23rd, there be activities including an artifact identification session host by archaeologist Jim Mohow and an atlatl throwing demonstration and activity presented by Don Fisher of the Indiana and World Atlatl Association. For details, call 317-848-0576.
