I agree that the relationship applies to the Roman foot and not the Greek foot. However neither the Greek or Roman Fathom equals 7 feet.
I too have linked Megalithic to Roman however I do not believe that either of these systems have been designed with the other in mind. The measure of the world is part of a single intergrated network. Much of this was discovered by A.E.Berriman. It is possible to link anything to anything and here lies the danger. There is not necessarily any special significance in linking two systems together, there can be more valid connections.
I believe the Roman Foot did arrive in Britain in pre-Roman times and was here in the Bronze Age however this was at the end of the Megalithic period.
I have been studying ancient measure for nearly 9 years and am writing a book on the subject.
