Your journey to Stonehenge will be greatly enhanced by the improvements which are being proposed. The present car park and visitor centre, right next to Stonehenge, will be removed and you will have to walk for the last ten minutes of your journey to the site, across a landscape which has been cleared of modern clutter.
The residents who are complaining in the above article live two miles from Stonehenge, near to Woodhenge, Durrington Walls and the Cuckoo Stone. It is hoped that visitors will alight from the land trains on the way to or from Stonehenge and visit these sites too.
